I'm getting ready to gut the entire suspension of Roger. In the past month or so I've got to a point where I'm convinced this pickup could be a solid daily and work truck. I wanted to start a thread so I can ask for advice along the way.

I'm in the parts ordering phase currently, bushings, ball joints, shocks, bearings, brakes, springs maybe?, leafs maybe?, you name it. If it hangs off the frame it's getting done. Oh ya and I'm going to fab a new leaf shackle hanger on the back of the frame to account for the bent/twisted/whatever frame.

Does anyone know about these? Theyre in the shocks section on rock auto. Do they work? Better to just buy new springs/leafs? Any input would be appreciated?

I’m gonna move this over to suspension…

I have used those shocks in the front of my F-150. They did seem to help keep me from smooshing the progressive rate coils I have. I haven’t tried them on anything else yet and I’m currently running normal shocks on the F-150.

Better to address the leaf springs themselves.
