strange leaf springs?

They definitely exhist. There are no replacement springs for them available today.

so i cant just swap them out for steel ones off the same model year? and would yall recommend doing a axle flip with these or is it even possible?

Get rid of them while you stil can. If you're near PA, I have a set I'll sell you dirt cheap. They need new spring eye bushings.

i live in indiana so not all that close but i work at oreillys and we just totaled a 07 ranger delivery truck and i can buy it cheap will the leafs work off of one that new?

id be more worried about spring wrap and wheel hop than squatting. they're fine for everyday use, but they're kind of light duty, and springy as hell. you're not doing any harm by keeping them unless you plan on launching hard or hauling a ton.

I was gonna ask how your leafs held up if you were running a v8 because the guy I got it from said when you launch hard it squats bad

My turbo 2.3 has more power than the stock v8s of the '80s did. I've popped the clutch plenty of times and haven't had any noticeable signs of over stressing the leaves. However, anything to keep axle-wrap from happening is good.
