Maybe a dumb question, but how do you determine if your Ranger has stabilitrak or not? I am wanting to get a spindle lift and am just curious on if there was year it was introduced or not. I have an 03 Ranger 3.0 XLT

Ok, thats what I was guessing, I just didnt want to make a wrong judgement and there wasnt anything talking about it online. Everything I saw was talking about I saw 2010 problems with stabilitrak so I put that together and just wanted to verify. Thanks! They didn't put stabilatrak into rangers until 2010, and you can tell if it has it because there is a button to turn it off an on below the radio.
....and yes lolDoes your truck let you do burnouts and donuts?
Oh yeah for sure! hahaIt is a form of traction control system. Very basic and uses the ABS system. The tone rings are different between the regular 4 wheel ABS system and the later stabilatrak system which is why it matters when you're buying lift spindles. Its useless crap, be thankful you don't have it.
No wonder I've never heard of it. My Ranger does have that stoopit traction control b.s. though.Stabilitrak is a GM thing![]()
Ok its "Electronic Stability Control"... it doesn't matter what you call it as long as you set it on fire and throw it in a river.
