Every thing and everybody says it's on the rear axle but when I unpluged it and the speedometer still works? The ford dealer doesn't list the sensor for the tranny. According to the thec. on here it doesn't have one in the tranny. anybody have a clue?

The sensor on the rear axle is for RABS. What exactly are you trying to do? A little more information would be helpful.

The speed sensor as far as I know is still in the tailshaft of the tranny. On my stang its a hydraulic setup. Least thats what I was told. Never really checked it to verify it.
