Well concidering the thing is made of 1" MDF and stuff. Plus you add on that I live in alaska so anything found up here usually has atleast 10% added on to the price. I will admit that the box is WAY over kill for the sub. The sub is around 150w RMS so yeah... The cubic dimensions are correct though for the sub.
Well since there is apparently a way to check out used subs. How is this done? I pull the sub and look for cracked or worn parts that shouldn't be, make sure there are no tears in the rubber, if they will be kind and hook it up to their car real quick to show it works, and try to smell the obvious smell of burnt electrical stuff. anything else? I figure run an OHM meter accross it too.
as for it being a wrong statment it is not... At the best buy and discount stores even walmart a 1/2 MDF or synthetic board sub box not to any particular specs run around 60 -100 bucks in alaska. It really depends on where your at.
