imo...infinty speakers are well worth the money.
especially the components, but i have some reference's which is thier lower model and they sound great..picked em up for 200 for a set of 5x7's and 6x9s..ive ran infintys in all my vehicles and never had any problems and they all sounded awesome, also have them in our boat and dads f350, cept he has the kappas

i didnt have a good experience with my infinity comp set. the tweeters were VERY fatiguing. just way too bright. the mids were lacking in the midbass department. i was feeding htem 100w a side. they got pretty loud, but thats the only good thing i can say about them.

i like my dash speakers, but i either have to decide between bass or loudness...

i can't get very loud at all in conjunction with bass... they just can't handle it i guess.

i'm worrying about that because when i install my subs... i'm wondering if the EQ settings on my HU also go out on the rca connections... if i turn the bass to -10, does it turn down the subs in theory? because i want to be loud.. but also have bass.
but the dash speakers don't do that, so i'm getting a sub, do you understand what i'm tryin to say?

yes the head unit will effect your sub. but if the gains are set properly, then you can have the loudness of the speakers, and the bass of the woofer. its better to not have the bass or the loud settings cranked up when using an amp anyway.

okay good so i can basically put the on the head unit around 0 (i still want some response from the dash speakers), but then the gains will take care of that signal, transform it into more of a "bassy" signal so the subwoofer will still bump?

great. i was worried haha.

yes sir.

i get full bass from my subs, a soft bass and loud vocals from the speakers, rear and front, so thats what u would get too

Does anyone have a MEX-BT5700U? If so, how do you like it?

I got 6.5 inch Infinity references ready to go, but I am saving money for an amp first....

I'm planning on a small, cheap sub for under the seat....

x2 ive never heard a set of infinity speakers that didnt sound this way(harshness) too much emphasis in the +8khz range, unless you like your music to sound screechy but i prefer a smoother natural sound

I've got an Xplod headunit 2 6"x9" speakersand two others speakers. They sound great.
