Sorry for the rant....but listen to this.....

On my way to work today....i stop to put gas in the old Dually (felt like taken her for a run today.....sue me ) but anyways, i stop at the gas station and this lady pulled up behind me in a prius...or insight....or one of those dumb cars.....

She gets out...convo goes liek this

Her-"Man, gas is expensive isnt it?"
me- "Yes ma'am it sure is"
her- "You know why its expensive?"
(By this time i know something is coming)
Me- "Naw, I dont really know, i just pay what they ask, bout all you can do"
Her- "Because people like you waste it, your the reason we're in an econmic crisis and the enviroment is changing"
Me "Ma'am, this is america, i work for a living, i pay taxes, i can drive anythign i damn well please"

I go in pay for my gas.....she has the nerve to hand me a pamhlet on global wamring....i take it, look her in the eye, throw it in the trash, and leave.

I cant believe that crap......big deal? If i wanna waste gas then ill waste gas.....shes not paying for it.....if i wanna drive around and get 7MPG then i have the right.....right?

I've had tourists driving a prius give me a hard time for driving my 4 cylinder ranger!!

I mess with solar power and other renewables. Ther aren't really a whole lot of 400m's still out there drinking it all down.

The prius is a nice car, but it's kind of hard to haul an early 1900's corn sheller home in one (I did that with my truck today). Tomorrow's task....hauling a load of corn to shell with it. Try doing that with a Prius.

you should of asked her if she knows how much oil it takes to make the plastics that her car is made of? or if she likes plastics, rubber, paper or toilet paper because last i checked it took lots and lots of oil to come by any of those products directly or indirectly...........

I partialy agree with this statement. I dont think just because you can that you should but it doesnt sound like you drive it all that much anyways so it doesnt really matter... I could deffinalty see that ladies point if you drove the truck around daily without ever hauling anything in it when you have other cars for that but she cant make that judgement because she doesnt know you or your vehicle driving habits. Others who think they're doing something good for the enviornment are typically doing just as much damage as anyone else despite how great theyre Prius makes them feel.

see i follow this philosphy when u pay for ur gas insurance and bought the vehcile then u have the right to do what the **** ever u want to do to or with it, and if i damn well feel like wasting gas in my little 2.9L that gets 3 MPG then its my progative to do so and some fucking hippy ass is not going to change my mind, but maybe its just me or maybe im ignorant

I had the same kind of situation happen to me/ On my way home from work I lost the rear main in my 2.9, so I pulled over to add oil just so I could home, when out runs some @ssh0le yelling about me leaking that crap in front of his quarter acre peice of land that cost him half a mil. I told him to screw himself in the most polite way you can talk to people like that. As if that wasn't enough, the bastard told me I shouldn't be driving my hunk of sh!t like that, so I gave him the option of leaving it parked in front of his house. He didn't like that either, so down went two quarts of oil, one in front of each rear tire. Then I began the good 'ol power-brake till smoke filled the whole damn neighborhood. Needless to say, I think he'll keep his yuppie ass in his damn house next time somebody stops in front of his house.
