I was wondering if there were any axles the same width as a explorer or ranger that had the pumpkin on the passenger side. i was looking into doing a 8.8 swap in my jeep and want to swap the front axle as well but need a passenger side drive shaft. any help appriciated.

Use the search function and look at the Tech Library. Lots of info about this swap. You can Google it as well.

Toyota's or Landcruisers might, however no Ford's that I know of have passenger side diff's.

If your looking for a narrower passenger drop axle, look for a toyota axle, if you throw on IFS hubs you'll be close to stock RBV width.

Re-read that..... Bro.

I know some of the early 80's Toyota's had a passenger side pumpkin. I don't know how it is comparison in width though, maybe Wahlstrom does.

The Taco's are drivers side.

I think Cat has installed a bot on his computer. It just looks for question marks and then spits out "search function bro".

What surprises me most, is he doesn't know someone who has done it before.

Wagoneer D44 or Scout D44 as well

Yea, I read it. That is why I said search for it. He has to learn how things work and what can't work and what is not made by Ford but for other makes. I learned that way..If I can do it so can he.......

BS. You told him to use the tech library. Show me where that info is in the tech library. You can tell anyone to google any question. If someone walks up to you in a store and asks what time it is, do you say "google it, or "use the search button"?

If you're so well versed on the subject, chime in and spread your wealth of knowledge. Fact is, there's not a lot of info on it. It's not like he asked about a CAI.

Hey, Bro. I steered him to the Tech Library to get info about a solid swap and there IS info on swaps. That way he can get an idea as to what is involved and search the net for the type of axle he was wanting to put on a Ranger. That is what I was trying to say. By the way....I do not wear a watch. When I retired from Special Ops I smashed my watch. I never care what time it is anymore. Google as you know is a great thing to have and use. You can't find a lot of things in books about custom made Ford Rangers, right? Google has so much on it and so much to offer. That is where I found out many years back when I added my Exploder overhead console to my 99 Ranger. I Googled it and came up with the install instructions and pictures that made it a breeze to install.

Narrow a Chevy or Dodge D44. Or like others mentioned, Scout or Waggy.
