Hey all! First time poster, long time lurker. Here’s my situation, I have torsion bar suspension and I’m looking at a HP D-30 from a Cherokee with 1 ton steering and comes with stock coil springs. I’m not getting a D-44 or 60 as I’m set on a 30, whether it be leafs or coils. My main questions are how do you mount the springs, coil overs or leafs? How did you mount your steering gear and how did you attach your shaft? I would appreciate all pics of welds or mounts or however you guys managed to install your swaps because I guess I could figure out the rest but how to mount the springs is mind numbing. I’ve searched to no end on all forums and can only find older gen rangers or older posts with missing pics etc. also attached a pic of my Ranger just because.

While not comprehensive, there is some information here that will help some. Dana 30's are mentioned and some pictures are shown. Scroll down to Solid Axle Swaps on this page: https://www.therangerstation.com/tech/axles/

Others that have experience will have to fill in the details.

Thanks! Any help is appreciated. Figured leafs would be less fabricating since I only have access to my on base auto hobby shop. I have found some good info in that link, just need to figure out where and how to mount the steering gear now
