Are they near the same price?

~45k for a fully loaded rubicon. ~40k for a loaded tacoma with all the TRD goodies.

So, yep. Smaller vehicles like the ranger for close to the same price as the raptor.

I would be all over a ranger from the factory w/ a 3.7L, factory lockers and 4.56s. Electronic disconnects, winch...etc in a CNG variant.

i have noticed here in south texas that the us border patrol has started to use the raptor. i guess the tahoes could not take the abuse.

Where in south Texas are you? I'm in the valley, my brother in law is with border patrol in Laredo I could ask to confirm for kicks.

Border Patrol does use them. I read an article about it awhile back and according to it they are for the higher ups in Border Patrol. They also had them custom made with no leather interior
