I found a part number... and found the part. It would be $22 shipped I think is what I saw. Not bad... and I may just buy one.

My plan A was to just take the light off... gut it... paint it... drill a couple holes.

Is that a two piece grommet you used?

And are you sure the full size truck part is going to fit my Ranger?

The grommet is a waterproof strain relief. I bought an assortment off eBay.

F250-f550 and Rangers use the same 3rd brake light, so I assumed the blanking plate would fit… I was right.

Remind me tomorrow before 3:30 to take some pics of VS253… I know it’s a 2012 with the blanking plate. We can compare and make sure it will work.

Here’s a pic of a 2016 f450 with a blanking plate. 99-16 Superdutys match the 93-11 Ranger. The body style changed in ‘17, they’re the same as 19-23 Rangers.

This one has rubber stops for a compressor cover in the bed, they aren’t normally there.

So far this week:

- The winch control pack relocation kit came in. I can now install my winch when I have time.

- I ordered a slide for my Dometic fridge.

- I picked up one of these…

(the blue one)
… for the bed, to power the fridge and maybe some other stuff.

- I picked up a few 2x12s to build a platform in the bed. I still need the get done plywood.

I’m thinking LiFePo4 battery with a dc to dc charger. I haven’t ruled out also having a solar option yet. And I’m not sure if I’ll need an inverter… almost everything is available in 12v.

I think I'm about at the same place. I was going to do an inverter... then I started asking why. I can do everything I need on 12v.

Unfortunately, the Milwaukee coffee maker, pizza oven and electric fireplace will discharge enough of those that you will still need to charge every day.
