i'm very likely going to be getting a set of sliders for my truck in the next month or so... there's a group buy on my local toyota forum (i'm the blacksheep) for them, and i'll most likely end up caving to the pressure and get a set for my ranger...

what i want from you guys, those who HAVE sliders, especially on the newer body style trucks, is pics of the driver's side frame rail and the mounting of them, specifically how it lines up with the e-brake cable... a few other pics wouldn't hurt, just to help me decide ;)

Subscribed. I have been wanting to redo mine. Looking for ideas.

post a pic of yours, if you don't mind (it looks like you've got them in your av)

I will later. Its kinda hard to cut/paste pic urls while browsing with my phone.

Here is a thread for you

Thanks or the Pics guys, do either of you have pics that show how well the mounts play with the brake cable? That's the main thing I'm worried about...

Walstrom, I like how yours go through the rockers!

My cable clears the tube at the front, and runs through the gusset of the second one. I have chevy leafs in the rear so I took the E-Brake bracket from the spring hangar and welded it to the rear slider tube. I'd get you more pic's, but it's all removed now! Goin with a driveline brake on the new axle setup...

that's pretty sweet, i've actually seen a motorhome with a drum brake on the driveshaft... it was messed up!

with that setup, is that your only brake, or do you still have them on all 4 corners, and that's an additional?

that is typically only used for the e brake

so why slotted cross drilled then?

parking brake shouldn't get that hot...
