Silver Frost Metallic was an available color for the 2002 Ford Ranger, though it is often overshadowed in popularity by other shades, making it relatively uncommon, particularly on the specific FX4 Off-Road trim. While not considered a limited-run "special" color, its scarcity on the FX4, which was a newly introduced package, often makes Silver Frost examples harder to find today.I just happen to like light blues and silver colors, plus I think that color was fairly rare on rangers, I definitely don’t see it often. My wife’s Lexus RX350 is Cerulean Blue metallic which is similar to yours. We looked for a good bit to find her car in that color.
Thank you for your support!
- 2002 Color Palette: Silver Frost Clearcoat Metallic was listed as an option for the 2002 Ranger XLT.
- FX4 Rarity: The 2002 FX4 was a high-performance, specialized package, and finding them in silver rather than brighter red or black was less common.
- Significance: Because it was offered early in the FX4's generation, finding this color on a low-mileage 2002 model is rare today.
