looking for some pics of setups you guys have on your rangers. planning one myself and wanna see what others have done with the lack of space under the cab. exhaust clips would be acceptable as well.

im thinking 2.5" after the cat to a thrush welded muffler exiting right before the right rear.

NOTE: if you post pics, please post what engine you have as well as muffler/pipe sizes.

I've got a 98 3.0 with cats and a glasspack exiting right under the extended cab. I honestly don't like the way it sounds, but a 4.0 may sound better

sorry there so big

How do you get it up so high into the body? Is the pipe routed over the frame, facilitated by a body lift? Or is it between the leaf spring and the frame?

I've wanted to do something similar with my exhaust on my '90 Ranger, except to have the pipe go completely through the body with none below the body line. The quick inspection I did under my pickup made me think it wasn't going to be easy, might require going under the frame then bending the pipe upwards then again back to horizontal to exit through the body (seems like a lot of work for the desired cosmetic effect, and against the KISS principle).

Yes, this my friends truck, my B2 was done the same way. It was done more for off-road clearance than cosmetic reasons. No real problem with it going under the frame if you're not wheeling it..

I ran 2 1/4 inch pipe in between the bed and the frame with a little clearance on top and bottom.......

I used to have dual exhaust but now I have no exhaust... The guy I bought the truck from had the exhaust mounted on the ends in 2 spots and that was it... It really didn't hold up to the abuse in Moab. I was coming off of an obstacle and the right one got hooked on the ground and that was the end for that one...
