side dump pics

Nice looking exhausts, what's with the air filter SVT?

Last couple of times I went out to Turkey Bay I hit some deep water puddles and sucked some water in the intake, completely saturating the filter, and almost hydrolocking my motor. The engine would not run with it in place it was so wet, so I removed it, started my truck and I was trying to dry my air filter out so I can continue wheeling, I have since fixed that problem and removed the snorkel that goes under the headlight...

i bought a piece that has the flange and 2 bolt holes that mounts right up to the back of the cat at my local auto parts store

I've decided I'm going to do something like that on my truck until I get my new exhaust. I picked up a Flowmaster tip and some generic piping at Canadian Tire. Should look better and sound alright. I'm either going to put on duals later or set up the side dump so I can easily but a new muffler in later.

I know it doesn't look like it, but the way I ran it, it doesn't come in contact when on the trails, and when the suspension flexes it doesn't hinder movement...I will have to change the exhaust layout when I do my 63's, but by then I'll have to change it anyways from my engine swap:icon_thumby:

My Setup, Click me.

It sounds a bit more resonant than it actually is due to cold start high idle, and the camera I used.
Like it says in the description, Cat delete (Only need the kitty that keeps my lap warm, But dont take this as me recommending you do so yourself.), 2.5" to flowmaster super 40, 2.5" single 45* bend to side dump.

Cool, could you PM me some pics of the set up?

the muffler and 180 degree bend were $56 shipped from summit. the new clamp, exhaust donut and pipe from the cat to the muffler was about $40.

im rather pleased with it overall, not loud enough to get me in trouble but enough to let me know my trucks running. plus the old system was starting to deteriorate.

Jesse at JN Wrecker did mine and made the 45 degree bend by using a piece of my old tailpipe. I have a custom cat-back 2.5 inch pipe, 18 inch hollowed out glasspack, with a 6 inch long 3 inch diameter echo tip in front of the right rear tire, and 4.0.

Not bad for $96. Can I hear it anytime soon? I might do something similar. Also how's the drone in the cab? Is it bad or not?

i posted a video clip below my pics. its actually quieter than i expected, not loud in the cab but i can hear it, and it sure sounds good for a V6. i can honestly say i enjoy hearing it, its more of a low rumble than a loud roar.
