i went to the guy from american salvage and auto.the truck has a regular title and its not a salvage title.the truck was used as a work truck.the interior is kind of dusted and the windshield only has two small cracks.the truck drives fine.it was for sale at 2800,i offered him 2600, i'm just thinking if i should go back there if he will accept the price,or look for another ranger.

future plans:icon_welder:
maybe lift the truck body&suspension

Based off your description, it's going to be hard for anyone to give you advice. Some crucial information was left out like Year, Motor, Trans, Miles, 4 or 2 Wheel Drive, etc.

Also, you say it's at a place called "american salvage and auto". I am left to assume this truck has a salvage title, correct?

what motor? , is it 4x4? , is it a stick? , is it stock or has anything been upgraded?
tell us everything you can......

this is the link for his original question. it has most of the stats

it really all depends on what you want to do with it. if you only plan on putting 33's under it than it will be fine. but if you ever want to go bigger your wallet is screwed. a 97 and older are probably the best all around trucks.

so its really up to you and your plans and what you want it for

Ya don't get a 99 like me or, learning to like it going in dry you will.

97 isn't the best just cheaper.. I hate the steering wheel on those years.

Like previously mentioned, if you are lifting it, the 98 and up isn't as friendly. I'm assuming quad core means extended cab?

I really like my 96. I wish it were a 93/94 sometimes when it comes to working on it - see heater core.
