Shop Liquidation for Funeral Expenses

Last Friday my father passed away at the age of 54 from a heart attack. This has been a very hard week. The family has found no active life insurance policy, so the family will have to pay out of pocket. We will also have to close down the shop and liquidate some of the equipment.

This Saturday were doing a shop cleaning/garage sale. Not sure how to make it work but the general idea is to have people come down and help clean off the shelves. If you see something you like, make an offer. All the funds will be going to my dad's services.

Stuff in the shop ranges from tools, electrical contractor parts (conduit, boxes, connectors, brackets, beakers, etc) office stuff, auto parts and other random things that have accumulated.

10 AM is the rough start time.

Sorry to hear that man. I went through something similar when my mother died. We found nothing as far as life insurance except for the joke the government gives you here in Canada. It wasnt even enough to pay for her casket, we had to sell off many of her antiques and family heirlooms to pay for her death.

Its too bad you're so far away because I'm in the market for some shop stuff now.

I see you are younger than me by only a few weeks .......... but my heart goes out to you, I lost my dad 10 years ago, I will not lie its not easy at all and I miss him even to this day ...... Years down the road for a split second you will be like ..... I got to tell dad about this ...... then you realize you cant.

I cant say it gets easier, but I can say if you look back on all the good times you and your dad had you will smile, even if there is a tear in your eye.

Just always remeber, things happen for a reason, God works in strange ways, we may never know why he does what he does, but there is a reson behind it

Wish it was a few years ago when I was working for myself and making good money, I would send you a little bit just to help ..... Once again I'm very sorry for the lose of your Dad
