Seriously guys! I need help!!!

the neutral safety switch is on the clutch pedal for a standard tranny i believe and the cannister is just a resevior no filter needed ive seen it mentioned be alland many times
it also sounds to me like the injectors are just dumping fuel in double check thos e codes
mitchell might help and access to the libriary repair sections can be gained through this site in one of the stickys so look around and youll find it good luck
P.s no punctuation equals a run on sentance

Ok its been agreed that the nuetral sensing circuit is my problem. Obviously a switch on my cluch is not gonna affect the idle. Quite honestly i find it hard to believe a sensor on my tranny effects the idle ether but im willing to give it a shot. There have been quite a few people who think they know whats wrong with it but the problem still goes unresolved. If someone knows could they explain where the nuetral sensor circuit is?

You really need to do some legwork on your end and lay off on the incessant questions. We've pointed you to the library, to the search engine, etc...

We CANNOT solve this problem entirely for you. You need to do the reading, do the testing, etc... This is a free forum where people are trying to help each other out. Don't attack those who try to help you because you don't like their attitude. If you want this solved without you doing any work, PAY for it to be done. That's not what a forum is for.

When the transmission is in gear, the computer knows that above x rpm (around 2k I believe) it does not need to control the idle. Below that point, and any time when in neutral, it MUST control the idle. If it does not detect the transmission being in neutral, it's ability to know when it does and does not need to send input to the IAC stepper to adjust the idle is completely hosed.

dude, if i could afford to pay for it to be fixed i would have never found this site. I'd love to fix it but i dont see laying under my truck staring at the wires on the tranny as benificiary. If i get a chance Ill read on it but in the meantime chillax.

Ok, Finally figured out where the self test input (sti) plug is located IT IS UNDER THE HOOD Seems that nobody else has pointed out it's location before. Only took me 2 days to find it.

So neither of you asked where it was, but you're both upset that nobody told you where to find it?

seriously though every question ever asked in this post has been answerable by reading the tech librairy.happy reading

sept the original. wtfs wrong with my truck. although FP may have pinpointed it. cause when i changed the clutch recently, i noticed a loose plug, although i wasn't there for the reasembly. it ran perfect for a number of days, then i believe the plug fell out again or is just not making contact and my idle sucks balls. plus the 2.9 section in the tech library sucks.

bump, still not fixed. searched the whole tranny top to bottom never found any poor connecting wires. perhaps TPS? cause sometimes it happens above idle, where it seems like its bogging rank and as soon as you are at say 3K rpms and let of the gas and push in the clutch it makes a violent bang kinda noise like you popped it outta gear while under heavy load and idle SLAMS down to 7-800. whereas when it runs good in the higher rpms it idles about 12-1600 rpms. also, sometimes when cruising at about 50-60KMS/hour it wil just start jerking VERY violently like you punching the throttle and then letting off quickly many times and then it does the press clutch bang thing. then idle slams to 7-800, then i revv it for a sec and coast then drop to a lower gear and it sounds funny for a bit then goes back to normal(not good normal stuck on high idle normal)
