Hey guys. I’ve been going over my truck lately the past few weeks doing a whole bunch of stuff. Maintenance, rerunning cables, detailing the interior, etc etc. The forums have been very very helpful.

Right now I’m on rust treatment/repair. So far I’ve got a gameplan for everything except one section.

You can see the piece of trim throwing me for a loop in the pictures I attached. I have no idea what its referred to as, so finding ways to get it off that let me reattach it or the best way to get in there to take care of the rust is eluding me.

I definitely want to get in there and take care of it now as it looks to be real minor surface rust (I hope that ends up being the case), but it does run the whole line of trim in the crevice.

Any help is very much welcome.

Thanks all!

For anyone who may stumble upon this, there are a few bolts and nuts underneath the interior trim you need to remove to take off these trim pieces.

My suggestion, remove the seat belt mount, remove all the interior trim in and around that area, and honestly its very convenient to take the seats out so you’re not contorting around them.

As for what that specific piece is called if you need a new one? I have no idea.
