Can anyone tell me how to do a ring job on my 93 Ford Ranger XLT.2.3L engine. It's a 4cyl.It has been using a Qt of oil about every 100 miles or so and it's not leaking. Someone told me I need a ring job. Is there any kind of additive I can add to the oil to help with the oil useage? How much does a
ring job usually cost? Thanks any help would be appreciated.

You could try Restore. It helps fill the wear marks around the rings. Its a $7 fix attempt.

How many miles are on this truck?

As far as the ring job, have you ever rebuilt an engine? It would probably be easier to get a replacement from the junk yard or craigslist.
