I'm replacing the Y-pipe on my 94 3.0L along with the drivers side exhaust manifold. Summit racing is suggesting bolts with springs to connect to the exhaust manifold. Seems like a good idea but I'm not sure. Is it worth the extra $30?

Maybe. How rusty are yours?

they’re new on the drivers side and will probably need to be replaced on the passenger side. There are no springs currently. Are springs stock or an upgrade?

The only place I have seen bolts & springs on a Ranger is right after the catalytic converters/right before the muffler. I don't think they're totally necessary in that spot and not needed at all anywhere else.

This…

good to hear. I am finding that the Y pipe for a 94 3L is a little harder to locate. Anyone know of a source for a new one? The unit I was previously looking at is 4.0 only.
