So I replaced the head lights on my:
2008 Ranger
3.0L
Sport
I went from the Standard Halogen Bulbs 9007 (about $29.99cdn for two pack)
to the the NightHawk Platinum 9007 (about $59.99cdn for two pack)

Now I am finding that I read the signs on the sides of the road, but ahead of me is not well lite at all.
I like the system the ranger has where the clips pull up and the whole head light drops out for easy access but is it possible that I changed the aim of them putting in the bulbs? both sides seem to be the same and I never turned at nuts or screws it was an easy clip out and they went back in with out much of a fight.... I do notice that I can push on the diangular corners and the head light moves, this is the same on both sides as well.....

Changing the bulbs doesn't mean you have to re-aim the light does it??:annoyed:

It sounds like the headlights are not fully seated in the right place, try pulling the clips and pushing the units back in and reinsert the clips. I don't believe they should move when they are properly seated.

Did you do anything more than pulling the clips when you took them out ?

If not then martin has the right idea but if you did think about what you did and reverse it.

Ok, Thanks I shall look at it again and check all the clips

I've seen slight variations in the aim on my '94's headlights after swapping bulbs. If the filament of the new bulb is in an ever-so-slightly different position, it'll affect the aim of the beam.

If everything looks good on the mounting I just find a brick wall on level ground pull the truck about 20 feet away and square with the wall preferrably at night. Turn on the lights and with a tape measure the top of the headlight and adjust the top of the beams on the wall slightly down point the drivers side straight and the passenger side slightly right.

I just missed the one bottom tab, all fixed up now... thanks for the help..

FYI - the extra money for the head lights, NOT AT ALL WORTH IT!!!! I'm just staying with the reg. $30.00cdn light. there is little to no difference to the $60.00cdn.
