Removing dome light cover 94 supercab

Hope I'm not as dumb as I look - but can't figure out how to get the cover off my 3-bulb dome light. Don't want to break it by prying or damage the headliner. 94 Ranger XLT SuperCab

On my 2000 I squeeze the sides and wiggle, you really have to put some muscle into it. I look at it like a wrestling match every time I have to take it off

Didn't work. Ended up trying to sick a trim removal tool between the cover and base, it worked, but don't think the cover or base could stand too much of that!
