Removing/cutting my body lift?

I need some advice and opinions please. I'm thinking about removing my 3" body lift from my Ranger. It came installed when I bought the truck and I've never really worked on vehicles much because its my first. I wanna take it out because I kind of dislike how high the body sits off the frame and I want a lower centre of gravity. I'm also gonna cut the fenders to clear my 31's.

Anyways I'm just wondering if its a lot of work to remove the body lift because of the things that are extended and made to fit after the lift, like lines and I think the steering shaft. So if I take it out do I need to adjust all those back to stock? I might just cut the blocks in half or maybe an inch too.

It shouldn't be that hard I just put one on and it only took a day or two. the only thing i would worry about would be loosening the bolts again plus you are going to have to buy all new bolts for it whether you cut it or drop it back down. I would just leave it on then put some rubbermat peices in the fender well areas. plus when you drop it getting to stuff in the engine bay is alot harder. probably not the most helpful but someone else can and probably will correct me.

leave the lift and your 31's sould fit, and like ranger84 said rubber in the fender well areas.

As far as I know, the brake lines stay the same. There is enough slack in those.
The steering shaft, it should just be a little cyclinder thing that goes in to make it longer (should come out easily). And other than that, it should just be a matter of taking out the lift bushings, and getting a hold of originals (I think the lift bushings go in place of the stock ones, but I could be wrong) and putting the radiator back in it's original bolting hole locations.

I wouldn't try cutting, the lift. The steering shaft extender is made to work with a 3" body lift (or what ever you have) and if you cut the lift, then that shaft will be too long, and stock lenght will be too short. And the radiator drop backet things, and what not will not fit right either.

Agian, that is just my knowledge on the matter and I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

Alright I think Ill just leave it in for now. I was partially concerned since Im building my own bumper right now and I was worried it would look like it sits too low because the body is 3" off the frame. But it looks fine to me so Ill be keeping it for now.
