I did a valve cover gasket a week ago, seen a picture of a rear cassette broken. I looked back at this photo and found that chain is riding that little peg looks like? Chain had no slack and I thought nothing of it at the time. Is this worst case scenario?

Ya know @JJMaine ... i ment to summons you to this post... being you were just doing this on your truck. But... in typical old guy fashion I forgot to do it.

I thought there was a guide that hung from that bolt but was hoping you could verify.

Way to step up with your help here. That is really what makes this place great!

Thanks! Trying to pay it forward when I can. And to think a year ago, I was nervous about changing my fuel pump and that quickly escalated into being confident I can take my engine out, tear it down, put it back together and back in the truck lol.

Did guides and finished a while ago, might as well update this, what a pain in the ass job. Truck works good now REAR CHAIN LOOK RIGHT?👌
