I finally did source an 07 8.8 Ranger rear end that is the FX4 variety 31 spline. Hard to believe but I found one in Canada on a recent trip and even got a great deal on it.
When swapping it in, I wondered about the E-brake cables. Will the ones from my 92 connect up with the 2007 axle or should I order new E-brakes cables for a 2007 and adapt them to the 1992 truck?
What about the rubber brake line above the pumpkin. Same for 1992 and 2007?
