I have to say that I'm getting a little nervous seeing that there's been 5 trucks stolen within the past 4 days...all within 5 miles of my place.

It started when I responded to a vehicle theft call on Friday. It was a newer F-150 and it was in a pond. I found out from the cop while I was there that there was another truck stolen by the same 2 kids the same day as the F-150.

When I came into work yesterday(saturday) there was a 2005 Ram sitting in the shop waiting for forensic analysis right beside the F-150 I just hauled in the day before.

No sooner did I walk in, and we get a call to recover another stolen truck! It was the second one from Friday. A 2000 Sierra...and it was burnt to a crisp.(I took pics of this one...I'll post later).

Today I get called out to recover yet another stolen truck. At this point I'm getting mad 'cause now they're screwing with my meal time :annoyed: They'd better find these kids before I do!!

Anyway, while I was hooking up to this one, the cop goes literally 3 doors down from the trail I was working on to take a report of another stolen truck.

Time to buy a pitbull and chain him to my truck as security!

I hope they catch the thugs and put em away.

A while back the community I live in had a rash of break ins/burglaries. Every night on the news there were several more reports. One night, after a couple weeks of this, the criminals broke into the wrong house. The homeowner was home and woke up when they broke in. He got his gun in his night stand and took a shot at them when he determined it was burglars. He didn't hit them and they were able to run off. After that, there weren't any more reports of burglaries.

I figure the same would solve the problem in your area. You don't need to shoot to kill, just scare them straight.

make it 2 pitbulls, a large chain and take out the starter relay or something to make your truck useless without it

Get one of those steering wheel-locking deals... I also suggest you put in a battery disconnect if you're really worried about it happening to you.

You could also do a fuel shut-off too...

Go buy an electric impact wrench and take your lugs loose each night. Not enough that the wheels fall off just sitting in the drive, but enough that if they try to actually drive it anywhere, the wheels will fall off.

All Fords form the mid 80s on came with a fuel shut off. You just have to trip it.:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

I always took 15 seconds to pop the hood & put the coil-to-distributor wire in my pocket....can't do dat any more!!!!!!!!

the drugs bad in you area because thats how it was hear the drugs started showing up again and the burglary rate sky rocketed.

We've had a few big busts in the area these past years.

There was also a case 4 years ago where a guy was murdered and his house and car were torched. They found the body in the river a few weeks later.

Justice in non-exsistant around here, 'cause the murderer got off with just a few years...same with a nurse that was stabbed to death by her adopted 15 year old son....he was sentenced under the juvinile act and got 4 years.

A woman was caught stealing a baby from the maternity ward at the hospital..she started crying about how her childhood was full of abuse and blah blah blah, and they gave her 2 years on a plea of insanity.

It's a wonder that vigilante justice isn't in full swing around here these days :annoyed:

One for lefty, one for righty.

Actually, while the Mossberg 870 is nice, I'm partial to the Ruger 30-30 under-barrel rail mag, lever action. Very versatile gun. It can take a scope or open sights, light weight, quick loading, quick firing, and if you take the plug out and use blunt tips, you can get about 9 rounds in it. Plus, if it takes down a deer in one shot at 30 yards, imagine what it could do to someone's face.

Plus I can set a 1" group, in wind, at 100 yards.

OH....and the cops even said that the judge will probably let these punks go.

Every day there's a new story in the paper about people getting nabbed by the cops while on probation. They hand out probation like it's candy at halloween.

Here's some pics

The interior with the windshield melted all over everything

wel even if they get sentenced to an realistic amount of time, it woun't be bad for them. have you heard about the lawsuit saying prision is cruel and unusual punishment! wft do you expect it to be! and how is 3 meals a day a place to sleep, free schooling, free tv, free gym membership, and free utilities punishment, let alone cruel and unusual. maybe they should do more stuff like sheriff joe and see how the crime rates are then
