Hi everyone, I have a rusted out 2007 4.0 Ranger with a good engine. There’s a great looking 2007 Sport Trac 4.0 for sale with blown engine. I’d love to buy it and swap engines. Is there anything I need to know beforehand like any minor differences in an exhaust or ECU stuff before I do it? Thanks in advance!

Basic engine is the same, should be nearly a plug-n-play swap. For easiest path to getting up and running, swap one longblock for the other, retain electrical, sensors, and accessories from the recieving vehicle. Enhaust manifolds are probably the same, but quick answer is retain full exhaust from the Sport Trac.

That is going to be a nice upgrade in space and comforr. My dad had a sport trac and we borrowed it for a week, many years ago, and that was a super comfortable nice truck
