i pieced my own lift kit :icon_thumby:
a friend of mine who owns a machine shop made the 2" blocks for the cab and i used 2x2 square tubing for the bed blocks

i just lowered the fan shroud and added a plastic cover to the gap it had on top.
i didnt added any steering or tank filler extensions.
ull need a shifter extension in case yours is a manual trans.
ill explain what i did there in a minute, pics are uploading

alright, thanks a lot, its really helping, i've been wanting to get it done for awhile, but ive had a lot of questions that needed answers first lol.

ok so here we have the latest pics.
i lowered the fan shroud 2", since it was easier and, well it was easier lol
sorry for the dirty engine, i havent had time to clean it

u can see the gap cover i made. its made fomr my old stock bumper valance lol. i gotta work with everything i have around.

this is what i did for the shifter

since the shifter was hittin on the floor plate and console.
first i trimmed the shifter and floor plate a bit. that was enough to engage 2nd, 4th and reverse with no problem, but when i installed the console i couldnt anymore lol.
soooo.
i moved the console some inches back, enough to give the shifter clearance, and bolted it with self taping screws on the floor.
since the rubber boot was all stuffed and still had issues to engage the gears. so i trimmed it on top, where it meets the shift knob. like 2 inches.
i had a piece of hose/tubing insulation and dded a piece so the boot is held up on top

sorry for the dirty interior, but between the lift and work i hadnt cleaned my truck in a while

since the airbag module was uncovered i found this piece of rubber to cover it. that will do for now lol

That's freaking awesome!

lol that goes on the rims of the bias ply tires.
i found it and gave it a try, and it covers the damn thing lol

ok i got something for the truck today. nothing too special.
since gettin to the pass side is abit difficult now. i decided i needed a handle on the A pillar. Went diggin for one. no luck used or new. So i had to settle on atleast finding one i like and in the same color as the interior. so here it is.

metal tabs to hold it in place, riveted to the A pillar.

so today this guy gave me a cool idea on how to mount the brush guard on the truck
mel-gibson-mad-max-photograph-c10104041.jpeg

i know it looks rusty, once i get a chance ill clean everything and paint it black

first this is how i raised the front bumper. a relocation plate welded on top of the oem mounting tabs

now since the brush guard didnt fit at all with the body lift, we decided to run a couple 2x2 pieces from under the frame to the front of the truck, mount a thick diameter tube so it will work as push bar. i might add a tow hook, but the structure itself is pretty tough, so i can just tie a rope there and get the truck pulled.

2x2's tacked to the frame

i hope it will protect the radiator area in case of an impact.

we still need to tweak it a bit to get it 100% leveled. but its deff stronger than the old mickey moused brackets it had.

i want to add an extra tube on top of it like this:
on top of the head light protectors
100_3567.jpg

and a 1 1/2 inch plate/strip on the main steel plates to cover the edges
