A little bit of history

since i post showoff threads for every thing i do to my truck, i think its time to have a single build thread.
its a 1999 Ranger Sport XLT regular cab 2WD, 2.5 and 5speed. it has a 7.5" and 3.73 gears(i would never know that if i didnt joinded TRS and spent all those nights reading every single thing i found)
i got this truck as a "while" ride, my plans were to get me a nissan sentra se-r spec v, kinda sports car, but since i always liked the Rangers and when i tested this one i felt in love with it so i scrapped the idea of driving a car again.

And i dont regret it at all! joined TRS just to ask about some little bugs it had, but then i got stuck on the truck addiction and decided to work it out as an Off-road truck. I use it as my DD, work truck and toy also, so i cant build something really hardcore, just a nice DD that could go to a light wheeling trip and not get stuck on the first mud hole.
ok enough on the fat lady chat!
heres what it started as:

first things i did
chrome bullbar

then i added some rectangular fog lights

then the door visors and bug flector
my truck at the farm

tinted windows
installed my pioneer mp3
some xplod 6x9 and 6.5" speakers
also a couple xplod 10" subs behind the seat

then i got tired of the cranking
so i went to the yj's and found the OEM switches and actuators
i still need to install power locks

since my shift knob was broken and it keep falling off i went with the mustang gt shift knob

along came the sport-trac white face gauges

also the rubber pedal pads were in bad shape so i went aluminum

some clean shots

i found this nice LED bar so it found a nice home under the tailgate

since the front bumper was dented i had this idea
Hazmat Ranger did this photoshop work for me, thanks man!

then i found out that 2 bulb tails could work on a 3 bulb truck so i went 01-05 tails

a bird almost scored my radiator, so perfect excuse for mesh grille
some fiber glass and call it done

a little bling wont hurt

since it had those explorer type rims, wich i didnt like at all
went diggin again and found some eagle alloy rims 15x7, 063 series.
they were dull looking but i knew a good polish/clean would work soo...

once i cleaned em...

this is by far the most important thing ive made yet
custom 2" suspension lift
custom made blocks for the rear, 2"

for the front:
we had an extra spring laying around, so we cutted one turn and did some U type pieces to secure it to the trucks spring as a spacer. Pretty redneck i know, but it works and no problems so far

look what i found hidden in the old bumper

bumper is on, but needs alignment

now the bumper is finished and bull bar is back, but it needs the bumper fogs

and yes the truck driving in the background is a crew cab ranger

finally got some real tires
GoodYear Wrangler GS-A
30"x9.50"R15LT
also removed the fugly blue pinstripe it had

the truck working, 1800 lbs. on the bed. corn concentrate for our hens

the new stance with the 30"s

flexes a bit well for being a mostly stock suspension

seems that it needs a locker so bad, but since i cant afford one right now
im going lincoln locker

ive been doing my homework and seems to me that its gonna do ok, hopefully i can get it done this week

ive done some maintenance stuff, but didint took any pics cuz, i didnt considered it worth. like replacing the fanclutch, shocks and stuff like that
