I have a 1988 ford bronco 2 auto trans and push button 4x4. the button used to work perfect but now not at all. I have taken it off and put a meter up to it and it was fine I don't know what is causing it to not work. any help to why 4x4 wont switch on would be appreciated. I think it might be an electrical issue.

the t-case motor may need to be messed with. i also think there is a control box just behind the driver side front seat. kind of a small cubby looking thing

how would I go about checking those, t case motor sounds kinda pricy hopefully not that but kinda leaning towards it. would the cubby be in the same general area as the fuses. thanks for the help trying to get it back to perfect condition or as near as possible.

or do you mean like under the truck in the area of the drivers seat.

You may need to take the motor off. Take it apart and clean it. Also the wire conector. There is a wright up here or broncoii.org.

And this cubbby I speek of. It is a small pull open panel door just behind driver seal infront of the side window. You may also check for an execss pannel on top of the metal part of the dash. But I would check with cleaning the motor firts

I know its not the motor, it is really straight
