Some of the problems the truck had that would prevent me from getting an inspection were..
1)No horn.
2)Bald tires.
3)OBDII Code.
4)Cracked Windshield.
5)Halfass headlights.
1) Well, the horn was unplugged believe it or not. The guy must have unhooked it, set it on the engine, and lost it when he was changing the fenders. I found it in the middle of the engine bay, it belongs behind the fender under next to the wiper reservoir.
2)I have brand new tires, on rims that fit my S10.
3)The code was caused by... him not putting the bolt back on the intake tube when he changed the air filter. It popped off, the o-ring disappeared, and the intake tube flopped all over but looked like it was connected. One bolt and one throttle body o ring later I have no trouble codes.
4)Had a new windshield put in, wasn't that bad of a price.
5)The problem with the headlights was that one was bright, while the other was dim if working at all. Changing bulbs did nothing (I switched the bulbs side to side) and it wasn't a bad connection because wiggling the wires doesn't help. Five minutes on google revealed it was probably a bad fuse (go figure) and I replaced it with one of my spares from my axillary fuse block in the Ranger. Good thing I used mini ATC for that then huh?
I'm almost peachy for inspection.
