Project SVT

if you were closer id trade you a d60 full floater for that grill lol i cant find one for hte life of me

Bad news, and worse news...I had a FF 60 that I sold, and I no longer have that grille...If you would have said you wanted it, I would have pulled it for ya, just would have had to cover shipping. Probably could have shipped it to the border and you cross it and pick it up to save on the international charges...I got a place nearby that will have a few, just got to figure out how I'm going to load that heavy pig onto my fire truck, since that's the only transportation I have right now with SVT's without legs... :bawling:

Yeah, i got alot more stuff to buy for her before the grille though lol

take a tow bar and hook it to the new rear axle and tow it like a trailer lol no more problem trying to lift it into a truck

Thanks, it's an ongoing process....Currently fabbing the front 60, and will shortly be fabbing the rear axle. Just ordered the track bar (went with the non-adjustable cheapy for now) as well as some poly bushings for the link bars...

Thanks again man. Sorry I left you without any transportation, but at least you didn't have to bring them up.

Edit: Hey shoot me that link for the leafs too. I tried finding them and couldn't.

Too bad you don't have two front 60's, with the hydro boost your going to run, you could have set up a 4 wheel steering.

Already thought of 4WS, still thinking about a possible future upgrade...WCB2 has been on hold for a little, Jay has had a bunch of appts come up, he's supposed to be back this week coming, so we will see what gets done on it...Dustin, its kool, glad I was finally able to get them to you, so I can finally kick-start my butt into getting SVT done....well, at least the new axles in!! Dustin, I'll have to dig that up for ya :icon_thumby:

Well, between all the calls I've had and the cleaning up around the house, I finally got to make some more progress on SVT...I got the knuckle off the axletube, the method I tried using apparantly doesn't work on 1/2 thick tubes...so I cut the tube off completely and will use a shop press to press out the tube thats in the knuckle. I also measured and cut the axle tube for the width I want. I cut off 9.25 inches off the tube, so my end width will be 0.5 inches wider than the ranger stock TTB width. I also have a set of 15 x 10 rims that I will be running for a short while, but has a 3" backspacing, which will push my tires out farther....Anyways, here are some pics from today...
