Project Life Support.

My bump stops are useless since my blocks dont have the side extended piece for them to rest in. ive loaded it a lot and it didnt had any issues.
So i would say dont worry about them. unless u plan on loading it until the axle hits the bumps.

Just from the ground to the center of the wheel well in the back.

Project Life Support.

Gives me an idea of how much the back got lifted up. I'm going to be rolling around on 235's since nobody has any bald 33's I can get cheap so it's a good constant.

Blocks are painted. Leafs are getting paint as soon as I figure out who took my enamel.

So close to getting this baby moving again.

That cheapo chromed diff cover has some surface rust now. Bah, oh well. :D I just nabbed it because it was the same cost as shipping on my other parts, and would give me free shipping with it. If that makes any sense at all. (Basically it was free.)

the center of my wheel well in the back is 34.5 inches from the ground... and the front its 32.5 from the ground.... hope that helps

Box came UPS today with summit tags all over it. Got excited. :D

Then I opened it.. and found this on top?

Free gift from summit for ordering these!

Energy suspension bushings. They didn't have any listed for newer rangers but I heard that all bushings fit so I said what the hell and ordered.
Project Life Support.

They seem to be a little stiffer than the stock bushings just by feeling them. I checked fitment and they look like they will fit. So make a note that 1993-1997 bushings will fit 1998+ springs.

I'll probably mount them today unless I get called in to work. I'm still waiting on my belltechs though. Speaking of those I wont be using the smaller bushings pictured above if the shackles have a nice bushing. Might pop up on here for sale. Might keep em. I dunno.

I'm not worried about that. The most weight that will be in this is misc camping gear. I usually bring a trailer for my firewood anyway.

HAHA! I got one of those razors too! They actually dont work half bad....

Yeah I was a little confused when I opened the box. I can't wait to use it though. I JUST shaved this morning too.

When I turned 18 Gillette sent me a gift package with a nice razor, some shave gel, and a tun of coupons. That ones worn out now and I'm out of coupons for replacement blades.

The other night I took a photo of the cluster, I'm assuming that the dim portions are due to the green film. The other parts that were red or clear shine through nicely.

Got the bushings put in.

My belltechs have arrived!

Just have to get bolts for the springs, and replace the U-bolts and I can get this axle mounted. Then some replace the hardware and wheel cylinders in the drums and it's good to go!

DAMN those U bolts are expensive! $20 per side!

>.<

I'll wait on those I suppose. I don't have the brakes set up yet anyway.

Things should move a tiny bit faster now. I'm the Sidney Kmart Electronics Dept Lead (one step under management) now. Whoot for promotions!

Don't know how I went from Footwear sales to Electronics Lead, but I'm fine with it. I've also been doing a little freelance work with a friend to earn some side cash, been helping him out with the electrical work on his ZX3 he's building for SCCA Rallycross. It's going to be ran PF next year, and M2 the following year if plans go well. Helps me to get a couple bucks every now and then so I don't mind. I might end up picking something up to build for SCCA as well, although I'm undecided about which section to go for.

Have most of the stuff I need. I am going to wait on U bolts until the spring, I'll throw the old ones back on for now. No need to spend money on things it doesn't yet need. Goal is just to get the truck moved for the winter.

Also will be mounting the bumper and the hitch back on tomorrow. One less thing to worry about.

Sure it will be a slight amount harder to mount the bed, but I can lift it a few inches higher, no biggie.

Brakes are next.

Since it was such a beautiful day Saturday I went to the junkyard. It was nice, walking around in shorts and a t-shirt at the end of November. Not something I get to do every year. I'm not sure what's going on with this whacked out New York weather I'm having. I love it though.

I was checking out a SWEET 1979 Bronco that was there, taking some parts off for my dads Highboy (gotta go back again) but then I noticed a newer green ranger a few lanes down. Go over to check it out and ended up freaking out because it was an Edge. Needless to say I now have a sweet Edge hood. Starting my conversion asap. I would wait, but this way I can part the 1993 parts and make some dough to finish my conversion.

Didn't get fenders, somebody had already snagged the flares anyway. I'm going to run some 3" or 4.5" fiberglass fenders. I have to browse photos of the sizes before I commit. Grill was busted out, so I'm still shopping those. The bumper was all rusty as well.

As for the bumper, I am going to put my 1993 bumper up for sale. It's an OEM bumper in black with a fog light valance and intact plate bracket. Comes with some cheapo lights that don't fill the holes. It's priced at $200 FIRM because I can use it with the newer body style so it's not just something taking up space.

OEM 1993 4x4 flares are also up for grabs, sucks that I just sticky taped and mounted them. I guess I'll peel them back off.

I'll update my for-sale thread too I guess. Probably tonight or tomorrow since I need to strip it down and take pics.

Got the truck mostly stripped down. I have a stripped bolt on the drivers fender so I'll have to take the bumper off to get at it with a grinder.

Then I have to figure out how to remove that header panel.

Painted the hood today, since it looks like the weather is going to suck the next few days. I used a few cans of duplicolor paint that's almost my color. Got it at the dollar store 4/$1 but it's actually decent paint since it's legit duplicolor. Paintjob sucked, but since I have 20+ cans of paint I can redo it again this summer.

Still gotta do another coat and then clear it.

Found a guy with some edge parts, picking them up the beginning of next week I hope.
