Pretty sure this isn’t actually a 4x4 Ranger, Can you tell?

check out the red Ranger in the background, this seller may be on to something.

I think the seller has spent to much time in the autozone accessory aisle to be honest. Suprised it dont have those goofy fake portholes and gaudy "limited edition" badges

Stevie Wonder could tell the difference, by feeling around under the truck.

4x4 with a manual is not hard to find. I own too.

2wd with. 4.0 a sohc and manual. Now that’s a different story. All the 2wd 4.0 seem to autos around here.

Hey everyone,

Later today I was planning on going and checking out this 2004 Ranger which claims to be a 4x4 but looks to be a fraud to me. Can anyone help confirm this suspicion? I looked at the brochure for the 2004 Rangers and I just don’t understand why it says “SPORT OFF ROAD 4x4” when that was never an option. See the pics and check them out. VIN is 1FTYR14U94PA42756 which I’ve put into decoders and it says 4x2 which seems to confirm my suspicion but I want to hear your thoughts please!

Thanks so much!!!

I just happen to have the registration certificate for my '91. It was a 2WD supercab with a vulan engine.

From your VIN:
  • R14 is a 2WD Supercab (Mine had the same model #.
  • U is a Vulcan engine (again, mine had the same).
No need to look under the truck. Question has been answered just by reading the VIN.

Maybe I'll get some super duty stickers for my ranger and call it a 1 ton.

"Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!,"

So there I was, minding my own business, fully submerged in the youtubes and I see this video about a $2000 electric trucj a dude ordered online. I watch part of the video and start losing interest and decided to look at the link for this $2000 electric truck. Then Bam!!! Found another damned rabbit hole… Alibaba whatever the freck that is, has this!!!

Alibaba is like eBay, but with the reassurance of the product quality like Craigslist. Everything 110% comes straight from China, designed by pictures seen on the internet.

Buy it and see what happens.

us back in the rust belt would readily do great bodily harm to get a rust free Ranger.

Judging by the alignment of the front clip I am going to say she has a fair amount of bondo in it with who knows what under the bondo.

That link was for a 2018 ford ranger with a diesel engine. Said it was in london and they’re asking $9,000 for it.
