Pothole made me swerve. Sign off a problem?

Update. A few hundred lbs makes the truck ride like a Cadillac. I usually used it for about 100#, which helps. I recently hauled probably around 500# of soil. Man was it smooth.

My biggest discovery is that my new (96) Ram does the same thing over certain bumps…So it must be a free floating axle thing.

Yeah, my '97 rides ok empty (extended cab though, light springs helps some...) but throw 500 pounds or so in the bed and it rides great... my F350 rides like a brick empty, throw 2500lb in the bed (cabover camper) and it rides pretty good especially after new shocks and sway bar links and bushings...

go find a big pot hole, take a seat and observe what wheels do. you'll be amazed at how much they bounce and rebound.

We don't have emission testing here.
Vehicle inspections are every 2 years and cost $45. They changed that a couple years back. From once a year.
Personally I don't like the 2 year inspections, the roads here are terrible. Beats the shit out of my poor little truck.
This spring I have come across 3 vehicles with broken balljoints or cv joints on the way home from work

Trucks are setup to operate loaded. I have a cut to fit sheet of 3/4" plywood as my "Bedliner". It smooths out the ride.
