While you were sleeping, I added an add-on to the forum that now shows 'Similar threads' right below the reply box in a thread. It also brings up similar threads when you type in a thread title. That may help prevent people posting things that were already asked, it might be annoying, I might just be tired. IDK.

I also added an add-on called 'Advanced search'

This will finally let you do what you've wanted to do. Yep, you can now search the forum for things like 2.8, 2.9, 3.0, 4.0, etc. Try it out. I dare you! Just click the 'Advanced search' (see pic above) and it will take you to a search box that will let you search by thread titles and post content, and well as usernames and forum sections. So, if you want to search for anything @rusty ol ranger has said about the 2.9, this will let you do it.
