Just wondering if there are any police or fire vehicle enthusiasts here?

Got a few here, I'm one of them.....

SVT

police yes, fire, not so much...

enthusiasts like.... interest in the vehicles themselves?

yes. flashing lights and loud sirens excite me, as long as they're not pulling me over.

I work on a fire truck if that counts! Not into police stuff really.

You'd like SVT, I've got more lights than a new York ambulance! Lol

Not me, I do have a friend whos family collects antique fire trucks though.

antiques yes, especially hearses and ambulances

I hear the faster you go with lights and sirens, the skinnier the fire truck gets.

What do firefighters and police officers both have on common?

They both want to be firefighters:thefinger:

Kinda...

I like to keep tabs on what we have in our little town, right now Crown Vics and Chargers. I dunno what the Chargers are but the CV's are nothing too whoopie. We have a Dodge dealer and a Ford dealer, I think in a round about way the city rotates buying cars between them. The freaky air sucking sound you hear when they are coming at you (both CV and Charger) at flank speed makes the hair on my neck sound up... and then as it goes by you can hear it fighting with the rev limiter. I can be under my truck in the shop and still hear the air thing, I really don't know how that works. Sure sign somebody is having a really bad day...

Our FD used to have an old airport refueling truck for a tanker, that poor old thing would go bombing by at all of about 50mph with the engine screaming trying in vain to get a run on the hill with what I assume was a full load of water, that hill kicked its butt every time... it sounded great though. :D

i disagree, i know MANY firefighters who think they are cops... and, of course, think they are above the law...
