Calgary also uses a lot of ghost trucks on the highway I believe they are a Dodge 1500?

yeah, i've nver seen the tank... i know we used to have a white f-150 with a toolbox, a headache rack, fire extinguisher, but i haven't seen it for a long time... there was also a matching mini truck... chevy colarado? with the same lights, and another one in grey

i've also seen a chevy astrovan with a roof rack with ABS piping on it... the CPS STRIKE team drives a fleet of chevy blazers, gun metal grey, no lights...

but the homicide guys get to pimp out what ever vehicles they want, not sure if it's red and blue on their personal vehicles or what though... i had a guy come in when i worked at mr lube with a brand new monte carlo and when i asked him to turn his headlight and signals on for a light check, he asked me to check his strobes for him and lit it up... it was actually pretty cool... but that was RCMP homicide

here locally we have a armoured vechicle (on a dodge 3/4 ton truck chassis) but most everything else is crown vics. have seen quite a few state patrol full-size blazers though, dont know why they need those huge things. one night on the way home from work i was passed by a deputy sherrif from another county, was in a new taurus patrol car. first & only one ive ever seen. i guess its a awd platform. always liked the crown vics. ive heard in michigan they have unmarked mustangs!

Most likely it wasn't the Taurus, they have a new model called the ford police interceptor (not to be confused with the crown Vic police interceptor)

There is also the ford police interceptor suv

Rumored to have the twin turbo Eco boost motor

The new pi is only available to law enforcement, and is a modular vehicle designed to be compatible with an agency's current hardware, so grill bars, light bars, cages ect, are supposed to be interchangeable between the car and the crown Vic pi

We got stuff up here would make you crap your pants......GRPD siezed a camaro from a guy. It was souped up to the hilt. MSP bought it at the auction, put lights on it, and made it the interceptor. Dunno if they still run it, but it come poundin past me awhile back......saw a spec in the rearview, then a blue blur, then a spec again.....3 crown vics runnin behind it. Come to think of it.....might not have belonged to the MSP yet....LOL

This is an old attachment I uploaded a while back. Both pics were one scanned attachment. The second photo was a army helicopter that had to make an emergency landing next to the interstate. I joked with people that I stopped the vehicle because it was flying down the highway.

it's a taurus less than a navigator is an expedition... but the vehicles are closely linked
