I put some strain reliefs on the remote and the plug.

I also mounted the winch to a cheapo winch plate I had laying around and wound the cable on it.

I think I may have a bad solenoid, because every now and again it wont power out, but still will wind in.

I also thought I would take s stab at my pump cavitation issue.

I was thinking the fluid coming the return was agitating the resi enough foam it up, so I made a diffuser.

I took an old have dried up paint marker (aluminum body) and cut it open, cleaned out the paint residue and drilled about 50 1/8" holes on half the radius. It was a snug fit in a 3/8 NPT bung so I just flared end a little and tapped it into the resi with the holes facing down and put the barb back in. Its in there nice and tight.

It seems to have helped, but it still starts to foam up a little. I need to check flows and maybe put a smaller orifice back in, or put a bigger inlet tube on the pump. I also noticed some metal shavings on the magnet.... not a good sign.

You are damn crafty. Since you tinker with the hydros so much, why don't you install a needle valve on the return line so you can easily tune the flow? I think that would really let you dial it in easily :icon_thumby:

That was my plan to "change the orifice".lol

I have a needle valve and an external adjustable relief to throw in to tune the pressure and flow.

Well..I drove the truck to work yesterday and around town...the pump is starting to quiet down and fluid doesn't seem to foaming up.

I think the noise that I still hear is from cavitating the pump for the last 500 miles and 8 hrs of wheeling with aerated fluid.

I can pick up remane pump w/o resi for like $30 and swap over my shaft and whatnot.

Love having 4x4 again.

Finally got a chance to go wheel a bit. Not a big fan of mud, but I decided to mix it up a bit. Im still finding mud in places I didnt know existed.lol

My buddy shot some crappy video.

He didnt get the first hill climb, but he got part of the second. The vid doesnt do the hill justice. It was a trail cut by quads thats damn near vertical.lol

A short clip of the mud hole. And no.. I didnt need to be pulled out. I drove out on my own.lol

My buddy has a few more crappy vids still.

awesome build. did u go to osu/ati by chance? (second photo)

I am loving the front and rear bumpers.

I did. I graduated 2 years ago with a degree in hydraulics and in power trans.

There are a few pictures from ATI throughout this thread.lol

I had just bought the truck the summer before I started school.

I probably could, but it would be a little while. I am starting a new job and Im moving 2 hrs south, so it will take few weeks to get set back up.
