I think it was out of Texas.

Well. I dont know if my locker is defective, or the locker didnt like my carrier or cross pin or what, the locker is not going in. I tried it with extra shims and it still didint work. It is starting to wear the edges of the teeth so I said screw it and put the L/S back in. On the bright side the 4.10s are in. I also found out my pinion bearings were about to bite the dust. The race had some pitting and really did a number on the bearing.

Hopefully the tires will be on tomorrow, but Im not sure. I should be wheeling on Monday now that I have 4x4 again.

New cover is on.

Im not too worried about the locker right now. I will just save up for an air locker. I am going to go for a light wheeling adventure this week. I say light because I still havnt got my new tires yet and my fronts are into the wear bars, so they arent going to do me too much good plus my buddy just sold his BII and didnt get the Jeep he was looking at so I dont have anybody drive me out when I break something.lol

Love having 4x4 again.

Finally got a chance to go wheel a bit. Not a big fan of mud, but I decided to mix it up a bit. Im still finding mud in places I didnt know existed.lol

My buddy shot some crappy video.

He didnt get the first hill climb, but he got part of the second. The vid doesnt do the hill justice. It was a trail cut by quads thats damn near vertical.lol

A short clip of the mud hole. And no.. I didnt need to be pulled out. I drove out on my own.lol

My buddy has a few more crappy vids still.

Here are a few pics of the outer pinion bearing and race. Good thing I did gears when I did. Funny thing was it wasnt making a bit of noise.

The pits in the rollers were pretty deep as well as the the pitting on the race.

holy crap those are bad.

Well, the only thing those are good for now is paper weights, glad you caught it when you did before you got on a trail and they went out.

I drive over 400 mi a week.lol Im surprised they didnt go out.

Good news.

I found a solution for those of you who want to run a sway bar with 6+ inches of lift.

You can leave the stock swaybar in the stock location (no spacers between the frame and the brackets) All you need to do is get a set of sway bar links from a 98ish Exploder rear swaybar. It didnt cost me thing since I still had the rear swaybar from the Exploder rear axle I bought. Overall the Expo links are about 5 inches longer and use the same 12mm diameter bolts. They are also offset like the stock Ranger links.

I ordered some 12mm stainless pins to make quick disconnects with. When I was only running 4" lift having no swaybar was no big deal, but now with soft 6" coils and 2" spacers the truck starts wobble pretty bad when I hit a bump on the highway.

I will have a new set of Goodyear MTR Kevlars on this Friday.

EDIT: I know I need a bigger drop pitman arm or a K-Link setup. I am not going to waste money on it now, because I am picking up my EB d44 tomorrow.:D
