My power steering pump has been whining ever since I swapped reservoirs, increased pressure, and opened up he orifice. Im not sure if its an inlet line size issue causing cavitation, or the pump ran dry a few too many times with all the component swapping or what.

It still builds pressure and acts 100% normal, it just whines especially when I hit the brakes. I am wondering if the hydroboost is causing a back pressure issue.

I am going to try an external relief and a flow control valve to bump the pressure down and reduce flow. If that helps, then I will look into a bigger inlet hose and maybe porting the pump inlet.

It acts like air in the system, but it just never clears up. I put 12 hours of run time on it, and it hasnt cleared up.lol

I guess I never posted my removable mirror setup...

I got some 8 pin Deutsch connectors from work a cut my mirror harness right at the door to add them in.

I punched 1" holes through the door panel for access to the studs. I used rubber plugs from any old RBV floor pan for removable covers

Now I swap out my good mirrors for some cheapo "flag" mirrors when I am wheeling.

I finally got pissed enough at my door ajar/dome light switch that gets stuck on every other week and required me to pull the door panel and clean it/unstick it. Turns out, NAPA stocks them and it was 6 bucks.lol

i need one of those door ajar switches for my explorer. dome light will come on for all the doors except the driver door. i've been putting off fixing it for years lol

^Unfortunately....if its not diesel, scratch free, a mud truck, "lifted" or covered in chrome....its not impressive.

I know myself always looks at your build, because your always doing something differntent and out wheeling your rig. Now if you start putting chrome on it then i might shy away!

Always reading about what you are doing. Some really cool stuff! Chrome? Really?
My girlfriend helped me rattle can my truck and she went out of her way to spray all the chrome black. Chrome sucks.

I've been wondering about those door jambs too. I can't decide on how to quickly/easily disable/enable them for when I take my doors on and off lol
