PlumCrazy's Build

Mine likes it just depends on which truck. Maybe its because all the dents are on your passenger side? Lol

lol. I got a few on the driver side...even broke my driver mirror this last trip.

Ordered an 8 bolt flywheel and SOHC oil pump screen.

Nobody could get the SOHC screen for some reason...I was all over yesterday. Car Quest had a listing, but it had to be ordered FDO, so it will take a few days.

I have all the big stuff for the engine in the shopping cart on Summit, but I need to save a few pennies before I pull the trigger.lol I may add a few things to the list too.

That is when chicks STOP digging damage lol. Chicks dont like my truck :icon_rofl:

Just put some 44s on it and they will all like it. My GF don't care what the bronco looks like because its fun to ride in plus all of my other vehicles look nice still.

Picked up a pair of cheap meats to at least allow me to wheel this summer until the truck goes down for open heart surgery.

Test fitted the RuffStuff mounts. Too bad they stopped making these things, they are beefy and line up perfect.

Not a whole lot going on with the truck right now. I did get my rear shaft half-ass straight so I can 70 before it vibes a little.

Been working on redoing the B2 rear body mounts since the air born adventure punched both mounts through the frame.....

Once its out of the shop Ill get all the little stuff fixed on my turd.

My 8 bolt flywheel came in. I confirmed that an older clutch from the 6 bolt will bolt on, so I don't have to buy a new clutch.

Ordered the pick up tube/ screen for tge SOHC pan...that was an ordeal in itself. No one carries it. The one I pulled out of the SOHC motor was a two piece plastic design. Ford updated the design to a two piece steel tube. But none of the listings have pictures let alone are they in stock.lol

I ended up with the lower half and priced out the upper at $90.....I did get the Ford part# for the upper, so I can try to source it elsewhere at least.

I also picked up some aluminum toooob to make spacers for the rocker arms that eliminate the spring design.

I have bent the tabs back a few times.lol

Im on the fence with them. I just think it looks odd without them since I have had them for so long.

They give it the 80's lifted truck look.lol

Next thing on the list is to get a winch, and truss the 44, then maybe 4.88s

Supercharger build is currently in the parts gathering phase, but it will be while before the truck goes down for open heart surgery. I am going to wheel it this spring/summer since the truck seems to hold its own in its current state.

I think the truck earned the Ranger "Custom" emblems

I built this whole truck while working a full time job and paying my way through college, so bear with me. Its been a leaning process with plenty of trial and error.

It wanted a truck that was streetable and comfortable, so I can cruise an hour or two to go wheelin' and still be dependable enough to drive home.

I almost have my entire lift, All I need are some extended brakelines and rear shocks.

0719090912.jpg

I am going to run a 4 inch skykacker TTB brackets and some 4 inch coils (for now), I am in the process of making my cross member and finishing up my ext rad arms. I have Chevy leaves and lowering shackles for the back. I am also planning on throwing a disc brake 31 spline under there. I already put on Warn lock outs. I am currently making a deal on 33" BFG AT's and some black steelies.

I can't wait to start, I am still fixing all the little things the guy before me left. I already put new wheel bearings, rotors, pads, brake lines, and calipers in the front. I need to put new cab mounts on and replace the spring hangers (perfect time to move them foward 6 inches:D)

I am also planning on swapping my bumpers, light bar and brand new black 130w KC's off my old rig.
