PlumCrazy's Build

Holy crap...their prices are awesome. 22 bucks for a complete power mirror.

Unfortunately my mirrors are not standard.lol I have Explorer housings with puddle lights on Ranger pivot brackets, and Thunderbolt glass with LED turn signals.

I am going to pull a part to snag a Ranger pivot bracket and pop an Expo housing on it so I can buy the setup for one money.

I need a bracket for my driver mirror too. Its been broken since I bought the truck, but it doesnt affect anything until the mirror is folded back, then it wants to pop up off the bracket

Im crossing my fingers that I can score a passenger window vent too.

New mirror is on, ripped every wire in two. Between power mirrors, turn signal glass, and puddle lights there is quite a bundle to fish through the pivot. I replaced the pivot bracket on the driver mirror too since it has been broken forever and let the mirror pop off when it was folded back.

Picked up a new vent visor for 3 bucks that is identical to the one I broke. I popped a few dents out of the fender and bed too. Door is too far gone.

Im not really worried about the body as long as my doors latch, open, seal, and my windows go up and down.

Ill still avoid what damage I can and pop out what I can, but Im finally using the truck for what I built it for....Im not going to back off a good trail because I risk a few scratches.

thats good to know:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

I have popped my doors back out more times than I care to count:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

but, the nice thing is that they do still seal, latch, and yes the windows still work fine:icon_thumby:

I like trying the hard lines, and of course going where they say "you can't go there"....

looking forward to finally meeting you at "The Ranger Station Trailride" in a few months:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

Should be a good time for sure...hopefully its a good turn out.

Now that I am pretty happy with my setup I plan on getting out a lot more this year. I would like to wheel at Turkey Bay eventually, but that all depends on how fast my work follow s through with their fulltime/benefits/salary/vacation offer.lol

They have been stringing me along for over a year now. Working for a German company during a economic slump in Europe sucks.lol

I did the same thing a long time ago on a different site(before I decided that TRS was the only site worth staying active on) and no one would listen to my advice or respond to my posts.lol Cracks me up when people judge by avatar.

A common issue on the diesel forums, specifically the powerstroke ones. Doesnt help that there are at least four of them. But the diesel industry has exploded over the past 3 years. So many people that think they know everything... Its hard to tell who knows what...
I learned to just keep it stock. Well, for the most part.

Played around on a few local trails with my buddy.

Bent my roof lights and ripped the wires out of one, and acquired a new racing stripe down my driver side, but nothing major.

I did notice a few of my wheel joint c-clips are working loose, so I ordered some full circle snap rings. Ill throw those on and tack the caps to be safe.

Also played around on paint...I think once my bed is completely obliterated, whether it be from damage or cancer. I will go with a nice traditional looking flatty.

Nice paint drawing, just keep in mind you will probably have to either build the flat deck higher or make fender wells on the flat bed because the ranger frame doesn't arc up much in the rear like Toyota frames
