I'm sure most of you guys do it, but please remember to apply anti-seize to your spark plug threads when you do a plug change.
I dodged a giant bullet today after changing plugs in my new to me Ranger. It seems the previous owner failed to do that little step and the #4 plug came out rough and galled up. It just had a small amount of damage, but it could have been much worse. I was able to thread chase it and all's well that ends well, but I had visions of head removal and time serts dancing in my brain for a little bit.
If you don't have anti seize on hand or don't want to buy a big container, auto parts stores have little packets at the counter for cheap.
If you don't do it for yourself, at least do it for the owner who comes after you.
