word. Ill find that thread. I cant seem to figure out the instructions you posted earlier. I masked it. then erased everything i didnt want painted. Then i clicked the adjustment layer and hue saturation button but whenever i set a color and turn the background back on the bg has funny colors. Why is this? Oh, and i learned the hard way too about saving the original. I always work with a copy.:icon_thumby:

1. Use the selection tool (looks like a upside down coat hanger) to make a rough selection.
2-A. Press Crtl+C = Copy
2-B. Press Ctrl+v = Paste OR
2-C. Press Ctrl+J = Copy to a new layer
3. Erase the unwanted areas
4. Press and hold Ctrl while you click on the layer with just the body, this makes a selection of that layers edges.
5. With selection still active open an Adjustment layer or just make a new layer and fill the selection with the color of choice and tweak the blend modes.

Hope that helps, easier to do for the most part than it is to describe.

marcehboy: How is this - next time try your levels adjustment until your get the area selected white. Oh and desaturate before attempting levels.

The front grille, lights and emblem are black and white...

Yeah that is how the image was when I downloaded it. :icon_confused: The original, top image is in color. I could have used that one and colored that area - oops - my first mistake :icon_rofl:
You know I didn't even take notice - LOL

You guys are AWESOME. But now I am more confused then ever! I think I am going to go with blue.. The actual paint I want is called Monte Carlo Blue, which is very similiar to what you posted. I have a million pics of the truck and tons of action shots. Here is when it was burnt orange/daily driver which I am putting it back to right now.. I have every piece except the front windshield and some interior cosmetic junk!

Your Welcome - To everyone - LOL.

I have been really busy lately and haven't done much with the PS in this respect. Koda picked up some of the slack and now we have Bankrupt to help out. It felt good to get back into doing some digital mods.
Well gotta get to work - later dudes . . . and dudettes . . . .

BTW if anyone has PS questions, I am going to begin a PS Q Thread so post them up in there and myself or someone will try to help you out.
