Hey fellow Ranger geeks! Just purchased 2002 Ranger Edge 2WD and was reading about the PCV elbow disintegrating and was looking to replace just the elbow and was wondering if Dorman part# 46023 would be a good fit? Amazon sells part for about $11...

Dorman anything is not so great, and usually terrible. But sometimes the only option, but ok enough for something simple like a PCV elbow.

I would still get a motorcraft, or gates or other factory supply brand. Might as well replace the PCV while at it. They go bad often and cause problems when they do.

Thanks much for advice on Dorman. Quick question on replacing PCV assembly....I read somewhere that you can just disconnect from the rubber elbow to the PCV valve and leave the original tube inside the intake and just slide the elbow/pcv onto the old tube and that would save you from having to take off the intake. I haven't looked at a new assembly to see if the elbow can be disconnected. Do you know?

Yep, sounds about right...Just dont force it, go easy, should be fine unless you break it lol
