I bought a new ranger. A 2011 with 36,000 Kms. Unfortunately, I picked it up as is and found there is a engine code. P0450 and P1450.

The shop i took it too said it was the fuel tank pressure sensor. I called the dealer and they gave me a part number but when i went to order the part from village ford in Dearborn, they said this was just a tube assembly with no sensors in it. The part number was AL5Z9D683C. There is no visual picture of it on the ford dealer websites so i can’t see for myself if there is a sensor in this assembly.

Does anyone out there know the part number i need to order from ford? I am located in Belle River ontario Canada and i need to correct the code to meet the Ontario drive clean emissions test.

Is your fuel cap tight? Pressure sensor might be fine but telling you the pressure is wrong.

You took it to a shop and the shops not doing it? I don't understand this whole thing.
