Soo I'm tired of the kinda awkward grey trim often found on early 90's Rangers so I've decided to paint my front bumper trim, grille, amd rear bumper black. Any suggestions on paint types and painting techniques? Help would be much appreciated :)

Light coats of Duplicolor rubber undercoating. We did that to a faded bumper trim on an F-150 at work once, it looked amazing.

Yeah I heard duplicolor works well, but I couldn't find any at the local hardware store. Regardless of which paint I settle on, there will most definitely be multiple layers of primer as well as clear coat enamel on top of the paint

If you try the rubber undercoating as ADSM suggested you do not want to put a clear coat
enamel on top.

I've seen black trim paint at nearly any auto parts store I've set foot in. Picked up a can to try on my 99, but haven't gotten a round to it yet.

Duplicolor is definitely a good option. Just prep the surface really well like sanding, cleaning it thoroughly then applying primer.

Yeah I didn't go with the duplicolor, instead I opted for rustoleum automotive enamel along with rustoleum primer and clear coat. After three days, two cans of primer, three cans of paint, and two more cans of clear coat, the pieces look pretty great, I kept the drips to a minimum and I'm mostly pleased with the results. Pictures soon!

I've painted faded fender flares on a Jeep Wrangler and plastic trim on other vehicles with great success using Krylon Fusion paint. Its made specifically for bonding to plastic and holds up well
