My 1986 Ranger 2.9 L is still running great, but after almost 20 years the JBA headers that I installed (that I bought for only $300.00) had finally rusted away. Well imagine my surprise when I went online to buy a new set and found out that they have increases almost 3 times what I bought my first set for ( I should have bought two sets). Anyway after using copious amounts of WD-40 I got all 12 header bolts removed without any breaking. I had forgot about the EGR tube that connected to the JBA headers, the Pacesetter headers don't have the fitting like the JBA headers did. My question is what would be the harm if I just plug the fitting at the EGR valve. Any help would be greatly appreciated I'm coming up on my inspection month here in PA.
